The Sticker Store
The Sticker Store stickers are large stickers that students can put on their chromebooks, water bottles, notebooks, etc. They will shop when they come to Library class.
Once students reach their grading period point goal they can shop for a sticker at The Sticker Store located in the Library. For any additional points of the same amount as the original pont goal they can get more stickers. For example: A student reaches their goal of 10 AR points and earns their first sticker. A few weeks later they have earned 10 more points for a total of 20 points they earn another sticker.

AR FAQs
What is AR?
The Accelerated Reader program is a computerized program that tests reading comprehension. Students select books on their reading level, read independently, and take an independent comprehension test on the computer. Each book is worth a certain number of points based on its length and reading level.
What is an AR Reading Level?
Every book that has an AR Reading Practice Quiz is given a point value. AR points are computed based on the difficulty of the book (ATOS readability level) and the length of the book (number of words). Library books have a color coded AR sticker to quickly identify its reading level (see chart below). Library books that are AR have a sticker on the inside of the book that identifies its specific reading level, points value, and quiz number.
What do the AR levels mean?
ATOS book levels are assigned using the ATOS readability formula. For example, a book level of 4.5 means that the text could likely be read independently by a student whose reading skills are at the level of a typical fourth-grade student during the fifth month of school.
How is a student's AR reading range determined?
Students in grades 1-6 take the STAR reading test in Computer class at the beginning of the school year and in January to determine their personal reading range. Students use this reading range to find AR books that they should be able to read and take a quiz on independently. Teachers may change a student's reading range based on other assessments in the classroom as they see a need.
When can students take AR quizzes? Can students take AR quizzes at home?
Students can only access AR quizzes at school during the school day. Students may take AR quizzes during Library class, Computer class, and in their regular classroom as time allows or at designated times.
Can students take quizzes on books I have at home?
Yes! Students may take quizzes on books from home. Use the website www.arbookfind.com to find out if a book has an AR quiz, reading level, point value, and quiz number. It is very helpful to send a note to school with the title or quiz number of the books read at home. This helps students remember what quizzes they need to take and type it into the computer when they are at school.
